Snow College to Hold Inauguration of 18th President

September 13, 2023 – Ephraim, UT – On Thursday, September 21, 2023, Stacee Yardley McIff will be inaugurated as Snow College’s 18th president. The investiture ceremony, which is open to the public, will be held on the Ephraim campus in the Eccles Center for Performing Arts. Speakers will include Utah’s First Lady Abby Cox, Commissioner of Higher Education David Woolstenhulme, Jon Cox of the Utah Board of Higher Education, as well as faculty, staff, and student representatives. President McIff and her husband, Mark, will also speak.

President McIff has a passion for serving rural communities and is well-positioned to take Snow College into the future while respecting the school’s heritage. She is eager to continue to find ways to line up the training the school offers with the needs of the community. President McIff recognizes that growth is necessary, but feels it should be measured to ensure the school holds onto what makes it special. She said, “My goal is that in the future, students coming to Snow College to find themselves will have the same transformational experience their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents had.”

To celebrate the school’s 18th president and also commemorate the 135th anniversary of the founding of Snow College, two community receptions will be held earlier that week. The community is invited to join President McIff in Ephraim on Tuesday, September 19 at the Co-op from 6:00-8:00, or in Richfield on Wednesday, September 20th at Leona’s Bistro from 4:00-6:00.
