Class of 2023 to graduate from Snow College
April 21, 2023 -- Ephraim, UT – Snow College is pleased to announce the 135th annual Commencement ceremonies to take place on May 4 and 5, 2023. The schedule will be as follows:
The Richfield ceremony will be held in the Sevier Valley Center. Graduates will hear from former Snow College president Gerald J. Day, who was instrumental in bringing the Richfield campus under the Snow College umbrella.
The Bachelor's Degree Convocation ceremony recognizes students who are graduating with their Bachelor’s degree and is to be held in Eccles Center on the Ephraim campus. Guests will hear from Jefferson Moss from the Utah System of Higher Education.
The Ephraim ceremony will be held outdoors in the Terry Foote Stadium. Snow College alumnus and distinguished football coach Bronco Mendenhall will address the graduates and also receive an honorary degree. Also being honored that day will be former president Gerald Day alongside his wife, LuAnn.
In total, 1,323 students will be graduating from Snow College this year. Representing 27 states and 29 countries, an impressive 48% of this year’s graduates are set to receive academic honors. Provost Melanie Jenkins said, “We are very proud of the Class of 2023. These are students who had their high school and college interrupted by COVID, yet persisted in their goals and have demonstrated resilience and determination. Congratulations, Snow College Class of 2023!”
