Snow College Richfield Hosts Annual Christmas Events at SVC

More than 12,000 guests visited the venue this holiday season

January 31, 2023 – Ephraim, UT – The Sevier Valley Center (SVC) on the campus of Snow College Richfield has welcomed thousands of patrons and hundreds of participants to events and activities through the 2022 holiday season. The season kicked off in November with a heartfelt Veterans Day fundraiser and concert featuring Nathan Osmond, and transitioned into hosting weeks of high school preview basketball tournaments, pageants, and state competitions, and holiday events.

Always a highlight of year, the Snow College Cosmetology Department wowed their audience with the annual scholarship program where this year’s students showed off their best hair, makeup, and nail skills.

The following week, the SVC welcomed the community for the annual Christmas Tree Lane. There were nearly 50 beautifully decorated trees in this year’s festival that included five nights of local entertainment. The largest performing group was a dance company with over 200 young dancers.

A concert by country music artist Collin Raye was a popular event, drawing visitors from all over the area. The event nearly sold-out, with only a few seats remaining when the artist began playing.

Other highlights of the month included the annual Sevier Valley Symphony presentation of the Messiah, a Christmas concert by Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, a chamber orchestra performance of Christmas A La Vivaldi, a local presentation of The Nutcracker, and Peter Breinholt’s Christmas concert.

In all, the SVC saw over 12,000 visitors over the holiday season.

Kevin Arrington, Executive Director of the Sevier Valley Center said, “It has been an amazing holiday season at the Sevier Valley Center on the campus of Snow College Richfield. Thank you to all of the patrons, participants, and event organizers for their participation and hard work.”
