Site will bring new training opportunities to community
October 20, 2023–Ephraim, UT – In partnership with Millard School District Technical Education, Snow College is pleased to announce the opening of a new training site in Delta, Utah. The site will offer expanded training opportunities for high school students and adult learners alike. The site will begin registering students for the automation technology program immediately. Air-conditioning, heating, and refrigeration (HVAC); welding; machining; and nursing assistant courses are slated to follow soon.
In bringing these programs to Millard County through the Delta Training Site, Snow College is helping to fill the need for skilled workers in area. Local industry benefits from the pipeline of qualified workers, and students benefit by receiving the training needed to fill higher-paying jobs. Students will also receive college credit for their coursework, expanding their options for the future.
Brett Callister, Director of Career and Technical Education for Millard and Tintic School Districts commented, “We are excited to continue to partner with Snow College, which allows for incredible opportunities for our local community and high school students. These added programs will help high school students to explore and complete their individual Career Pathways, which will give each student an advantage with knowledge and needed skills when entering the workforce or continuing their education.”

It’s exciting to see our programs expanding into Millard County and we look forward to working together to meet the needs of the area.”
Snow College obtained the modular location for the training site through a Talent Ready Connections grant, in partnership with Great Lakes Cheese. The public is invited to attend an open house on November 2, 2023 from 4-6 pm at 305 East 200 North in Delta, Utah. Guests can expect a tour of the modular, presentations about available programs, and light refreshments.
