First phase is expected to be completed Summer 2026
October 27, 2025 – Ephraim, UT – Snow College will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Innovative Agriculture Center on Wednesday, October 29, at 5:30 p.m. The celebration will include a BBQ dinner and program, followed by a Western Swing dance for Snow College students.
The project is supported by a $2.4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), along with private and local funding. Phase one will include construction of an arena and core facilities to support new programs in Equine Therapy and Equine-Assisted Therapy.
The center will also enhance student life and community connection. Snow College’s Rodeo Team will gain new training space, and the arena will host events like Western Swing, a cherished Snow tradition that brings students together. Local workers will be employed during construction, ensuring that the project benefits the regional economy as well as students.
Vice President for Technical Education and Workforce Engagement Jay Olsen said, “This facility marks a milestone for Snow College’s growing agriculture programs and will serve as a hub for innovation, education, and opportunity.”
