Alumni Legacy Awards Announced

Four individuals to be honored for their excellence, service, and legacy

October 6, 2025 – Ephraim, UT – Snow College is pleased to announce that four individuals have been selected to receive Alumni Legacy Awards at Homecoming this weekend. The honorees will be recognized at a banquet on October 10, and again during the Homecoming game on October 11.

Milinda Weeks

Rising Alumni Award

Milinda Weeks, Associate Professor of Scenic Design at Brigham Young University, began her journey at Snow College. A nationally recognized designer and educator, she has led major productions, secured grants advancing theatre technology, and championed mentorship and outreach. Her leadership reflects her lasting impact on design education and community engagement.

Brach Schlueter

Spirit of Snow Award

Brach Schlueter devoted 32 years to Snow College, shaping its spirit through heartfelt mentorship and innovation. As Director of Enrollment and later Dean of Student Life, he built the Snow Ambassador program, redefined recruitment, and embodied the “Spirit of Snow,” inspiring generations with compassion, creativity, and unwavering dedication to students’ success.

Mark J. Howard

Legacy Alumni Award

Mark J. Howard began his journey at Snow College on a football scholarship that shaped a lifetime of leadership and service. A decorated Air Force Colonel and hospital CEO, he earned national recognition for excellence and humanitarianism. Now serving on Snow’s Foundation Board, he gives back—creating opportunities for students as others once did for him.

Doug Barton

Distinguished Alumni Award

Doug Barton, Manti native and Utah Broadcasters Hall of Fame inductee, turned a teenage passion for radio into a lifelong legacy of community media and education. Founder of Mid-Utah Radio and longtime Snow College supporter, he transformed local broadcasting while mentoring generations—crediting his enduring success to hard work, family, and Snow roots.
