Snow College Invites Community to Celebrate 137 Years of Learning and Legacy

November 3, 2025 – Ephraim, UT – Snow College is proud to welcome students, employees, alumni, community members, and local dignitaries to celebrate the 137th anniversary of the college’s founding. This special day honors the spirit of perseverance, learning, and community that has defined Snow College since its beginning.

When Snow College opened its doors in 1888, 120 students gathered on the top floor of the local Co-op building to pursue their education. Though that small space was quickly outgrown, the dedication of those early settlers laid the foundation for the vibrant campus and strong community we know today. Their vision continues to inspire our mission and reminds us of the love and pride we share for Snow College.

To mark Founders Day, the Snow College music programs will present a celebratory concert. Dr. Madeline Johnson, Chair of the Music Department, shared, “This concert commemorates the founding of Snow College and has been held annually since the Eccles Center opened in 2003. We hope the Snow College community will join us in celebrating and honoring our pioneer heritage.”

Everyone is invited to join in this cherished tradition. The Founders Day Concert will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the Jorgensen Concert Hall inside the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $8.00 for youth and seniors and $10.00 for adults. Tickets may be purchased at snow.edu/boxoffice.
