Snow College Participates in Utah College Application Week

Recruiters and ambassadors visit over 100 high schools

Snow College ambassadors at UCAW event

November 2, 2022 – Ephraim, UT – As high schools across the state wrap up Utah College Application Week (UCAW), Snow College recruiters and ambassadors reflect on another successful recruiting tour. The goal of UCAW is to provide every high school senior in Utah the opportunity to complete at least one college or university application. For the month of October, high schools across the state partner with colleges and universities to meet this goal.

Each high school puts their own spin on UCAW. Some host events reminiscent of a tail-gate party while others set aside one day for each college or university. Many high schools work with the English teachers to spend that class period applying for schools.

Snow College recruiters have the goal to visit every high school in the state during the month of October to personally invite students to apply and show them the great things Snow College has to offer. This year, they were able to see students in over 100 schools across the state. When talking to students, the recruiters not only share the excellent academic programs and vibrant student life offered, but they also emphasize Snow’s affordability and show students how much further their scholarship and grant dollars go at Snow College. Their efforts have paid off in a big way. The school received over 3,700 applications during the month of October alone.

Teri Clawson, who oversees enrollment at the college, praised the efforts of the recruiting team when she said, “It is always so exciting as our admissions counselors and ambassadors visit as many high schools as possible to share the great benefits of a Snow College education. During the month of October, our representatives can visit up to three schools a day encouraging students to apply to Snow at no cost. I can’t begin to say how grateful I am for the work these individuals do to promote and represent Snow College.” Snow College is the most affordable college in the state and boasts a high student success rate.
