If you love Snow College theatre, this is your chance to make a difference! You can contribute to the Kim Christison Theatre Scholarship Fund.
Put your mark on the coming decades by naming a seat in the Kim Christison Theatre. As a donor, your name - or that of an honored individual - will be recognized on a metal plaque attached to the back of a seat in the Kim Christison Theatre for many years to come.
Your tax-deductable gift will be commemorated on a brushed aluminum plaque. This gift also entitles you to select your named seat for each of the Snow College Theatre productions. Please note that the dedication of a seat does not guarantee that specific seat assignment in our theatre, and seat donors must still purchase tickets for any performance in the Theatre.
Dr. Kim Christison taught theatre and directed over 75 plays and musicals over his thirty-five years at Snow College. His personal theatral career is just as impressive: served as Dean of Fine and Performing Arts division, earned M.Ed degree from Westminster, Old Lyric Repertory Company, developed an on-line theatre course, received "Award of Merit in Technology Delivered Instruction" from the USHE and UECC, and received the Utah Academy of Science, Arts, and Letters Best Paper award at the 2006 annual conference and will be published in the UASAL journal later this year.
Dr. Christison was instrumental in partnering the Snow College Theatre Arts Department with the Juilliard Drama division in 2006, and helped Snow receive accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Theatre, lifting the department to among only a handful of 2-year programs to achieve the recognition. Among his many life-long dreams is his desire to see the performing arts department of Snow College continue to produce exceptional drama and theatre for the community.
This legacy of superior productions requires continued support in many forms. Most students need scholarships to make attending and focusing on college studies possible.
