The Social Sciences Department at Snow College strives not only to help students understand the complex world of social interactions but also to help them become forces for positive change.
From the disciplines within the Social Sciences Department, students will learn how to navigate the complex world of social interactions through the lenses of anthropology, economics, geography, history, and political science. These disciplines help students to better understand how things are and were, and the incentives and influences that shape how society and institutions operate and are structured. Students who successfully learn to see through these lenses can better effectuate positive change in the world.
