Emergency POD Information

What is an Emergency Point of Dispensing (POD)?

PODs are specific locations that can be opened for the purpose of dispensing medication or giving vaccinations to large populations in a public health emergency. PODs are only opened when a large portion of the population is determined to be at great risk to a contagious disease or other biological agent.

POD’s are operated under the authority of the Central Utah Public Health Department and in coordination with the Utah Department of Health, US Homeland Security and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Snow College has been defined as a 'Closed POD', which means that the Snow College POD will ONLY dispense medications to students, faculty, staff and families of faculty and staff needed in a public health emergency through a POD located on the Snow College campus.

Sanpete community residents in the cities and county would be refereed to local 'Open PODs' located in Sanpete County for treatment.

In Case of a POD Emergency (or a College emergency practice exercise) you can download and print the forms below, please complete only the personal information on the form(s) before coming to the POD.
