Snow College Students Gather to Remember Mafatini

October 4, 2021 – Ephraim, UT – The mood was somber as over 1000 students gathered on the Robert Stoddard Field in the Terry Foote Stadium tonight to remember one of their own. Mafatini Mafatini, a freshman offensive lineman from Maui, Hawaii, passed away from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident on October 3, 2021. Brady Curtis, Student Body President, welcomed those in attendance and noted the “hurt and heartache all Badgers are feeling today.” Snow College Head Football Coach Zac Erekson briefly addressed the mourners and encouraged students to love and support each other. Students were able to light a candle and write personal notes on large posters with Mafatini’s picture.

Family members are tentatively planning a funeral service for Thursday morning in Ephraim. Details will be posted at www.maglebymortuary.com.
