In our 2-year dance program—leading to an Associated of Science Degree in Dance—Snow College develops artists who are equally trained in ballet, modern, contemporary, social dance, ballroom dance as well as hip-hop, tap and clogging dance techniques. With its two performing dance companies — Snow College Dance Company and Snow College Ballroom Company — our dancers enjoy unparalleled opportunities to work with today’s regional and national choreographers while performing and creating new work for our annual dance concerts at the Eccles Center for the Arts. In addition to a high caliber of technical training and performance opportunities, dancers will learn about the craft of choreography by attending the annual American Dance Association Conference. With its individualized attention to each student – Snow College prepares dancers for all the possibilities that lie ahead whether they include starting a dance studio or a dance company after graduation or transferring into a four-year institution for further study.
The Snow College Associate of Science Degree in Dance provides the first two years of a four-year dance curriculum for students who wish to specialize in dance. With an associate degree, students may pursue a number of careers including dance performance, choreography, and dance instruction.
