ASSOCIATE OF ARTS (AA) and ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE (AS) DEGREES
The Associate of Arts and Associate of Science Degrees are offered for students who plan to transfer to a four year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree.
College work for these degrees requires completion of at least 63 semester credits of approved college course of which 31 credits are General Education courses.
The Associate of Arts degree requires eight credits of one foreign lanuage in addition to the 31 credits of General Education.
ASSOCIATE OF PRE-ENGINEERING DEGREE
The Associate of Pre-Engineering (APE) degree is offered to students who plan to transfer to a university and pursue a baccalaureate degree in any of the traditional fields of engineering. This degree requires an emphasis of course work in engineering, mathematics, and science - with fewer general education requirements than the Associate of Science (AS) or the Associate of Arts (AA) degree. It is anticipated that the balance of the general education requirements necessary for the baccalaureate degree will be taken as a junior or senior at the four year institution. This program of taking some general education classes at the upper division level is consistent with recent Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) standards. ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREES (AAS)
The Associate of Applied Science Degree is offered for students who plan to seek employment immediately after completing their program of study. It requires a majority of the training to be in specific applied technology theory and skill courses.
College work for the Associate of Applied Science Degree include 63 to 69 credit hours. Specific requirements of the degree can be found in the appropriate section of the catalog.

ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS
The Associate of Science in Business is a two year degree offered to students who plan to transfer to a four year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree in any business-related major, including accounting, business information systems, management, marketing, human resource management, etc.
College work for this degree requires completion of at least 63 semester credits of approved college courses of which 31 credits are General Education courses.
