This is a course in using drawing as a form of visual thinking to explore a subject and its compositional possibilities. Use drawing to simplify the subject, clarify your ideas, and plan the composition.
Carl is an art educator and Professor Emeritus at Snow College where he taught for 30+ years. He has taught watercolor and drawing workshops throughout the United States and in Great Britain. He is the author of the very successful book, “Your Artist’s Brain” which is a combined edition of two previous books on drawing and watercolor painting. Carl’s emphasis has always been on helping others have a successful experience in the art of drawing and painting. To this end he is also the co-founder of the Summer Snow workshop experience. Carl is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, and served as a juror for that organization’s Annual International Exhibit. He is also honor member of the Utah Watercolor Society. Carl’s work has earned numerous awards, and is in many private and corporate collections.
