Garth challenges his students to reach beyond what they think they can achieve, and he gives them the support they need to succeed. His passion for learning is contagious, and students feel it the moment they walk into his classroom.

Perhaps the truest measure of his impact is how often former students return to say hello to him and share their success stories. Whenever alumni are on campus, they make a point of stopping by to see him and thank the person who helped them get where they are.

Garth is respected by his peers and is a source of wisdom for those looking to improve themselves as a teacher. Thirty years of making a lasting difference in students’ lives is a remarkable legacy and we are incredibly blessed to have Garth at Snow College!

Jason is an invaluable asset to Snow College. He’s the go-to person many of us call when we’re brainstorming ideas or looking for ways to improve. He’s always ready to help with any issue that comes up, technical or not. He has a deep understanding of how the college operates, and he uses that knowledge, along with the technology under his stewardship, to give people the resources they need to succeed in their roles. He takes ownership of his responsibilities and looks for ways to make things better rather than settling for good enough. For example, he applies Banner updates as soon as they’re available, so we never fall behind and always have access to new processes as they’re released. He’s a good and kind person whom many of us are happy to call a friend. We’re lucky to have had him at Snow College for the last 20 years, and we hope to have him for many more.

Amy Noblett

Amy Noblett, administrative assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs, is one of the genuinely indispensable Snow College employees. She supports the Provost, the Associate Provost, the Grants Office and Institutional Research, and she brings the same efficiency, integrity and grace to all of them. Amy also keeps several of the college’s most important committees running. For the Advancement and Tenure Committee, she prepares every faculty dossier for review. She is equally central to the Curriculum Committee, the General Education Committee, Deans Council and the extended Academic Affairs working group. These groups count on her for more than clerical support. She also gives them sound advice, a long institutional memory and genuine friendship. As the work of Academic Affairs has grown, so have Amy’s responsibilities. She meets them with long hours, unfailing good humor and a competence that makes hard work look easy. In everything she does, Amy Noblett embodies the best of Snow College.
