Snow College Celebrates Founders Week with Gratitude, Recognition, and Service

Employee-led activities honor the college's 138-year history and the people who make Snow College extraordinary

November 2, 2026 — EPHRAIM, Utah — Snow College will celebrate Founders Week, commemorating its founding on November 5, 1888. This year, an employee-led Badger 140 task force has organized gratitude activities to recognize the students, faculty and staff, alumni, and community members who have helped make Snow College a distinctive and respected institution in Utah and beyond.

“For 138 years, Snow College has been a place where people come together to learn, grow, and create opportunities,” said President Stacee Y. McIff. “I think it's especially meaningful that our own faculty and staff chose to make gratitude the focus of this year's celebration. Their work reflects the genuine care our employees have for one another, for our students, and for our communities.” Throughout the week, “Paws for Positivity” activities on both campuses will include treats, thank-you notes, and opportunities to connect with one another. The task force will also share information about the benefits of gratitude on campus television screens and offer a workshop encouraging small acts of appreciation.

A highlight of the week will be the annual Years of Service Recognition events honoring employees reaching milestone years of service. Celebrations will take place on both campuses, with personal tributes available at snow.edu/yos.

The celebration also coincides with student-led service activities, including a November 2 kickoff featuring NMDP donors, a November 4 stem cell donor registry opportunity, and an American Red Cross blood drive on November 12.

The community is also invited to celebrate at the annual Founders Day Concert on Friday, November 6, at 7:30 p.m. “Snow College has been shaped by generations of people who have given their time, talents, and resources to this institution,” McIff added. “Founders Week is an opportunity to honor that legacy, celebrate the people who continue it today, and recognize with gratitude the good that happens when we look for ways to lift and help one another.”
