This new and modern science center will serve as an anchor for the College’s STEM programs. The facility will feature at least four modern lecture rooms, ten high-tech integrated classrooms/labs, six additional advanced labs, and new spaces where faculty and students can collaborate and explore. Its construction features will also include science themes and interactive displays immersing all who enter the structure into a world of science. This will be a place where the spark of scientific inquiry and the spirit of service will be nurtured while students and faculty work together to reveal answers and propose new questions that can further scientific achievement.
STEM is an acronym referring to the academic disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. As the state increases its focus on STEM education, all of Utah’s college and universities should have at least one state-of-the-art science STEM building for undergraduate use. Recognizing Snow College’s need for an updated science facility, the Utah Legislature funded Snow College Science Center based on funding from private donors.
