Denise received her M.A. from Brigham Young University with a minor in Art History. She also received her B.A. from Brigham Young University and an L.P.N. from Utah Technical College at Salt Lake. Denise began her teaching career at Brigham Young University teaching Ballroom Dance and was an instructor and dancer for The Festival Folkdancers at the University of Utah. She has choreographed and directed various workshops in Utah, Louisiana, and Germany and has adjudicated competitions in both dance and theatre. She has taught at Snow College, Utah Valley State College, Southeastern Louisiana University and Brigham Young University. At UVSC she was instrumental in developing the Country Western Dancing program. At Southeastern Louisiana University she developed the Country Western Dancing program and Dance Production curriculum. While at SLU she also taught classes for the American College Dance Festival, Southwest Division. She was the Director and Course Developer for the Ballroom Dance Program, Morale/Welfare/Recreation Department of U.S. Government (MWR), at Kaiserlsautern, Germany. She has been teaching at Snow College since 2005.
