Title: Nursing Assistant
Prerequisites: Participants must be at least 16 years of age on the first day of class and a junior in high school to be enrolled in the Nursing Assistant course. Preference will be given to students who are 17 years old or older. Students need to have a 3.0 GPA. A background check via BCI and a current TB test are required for clinicals. Current Covid requirements will need to be followed.
Description: This course focuses on the application of basic nursing skills needed to prepare students for employment as nursing assistants in a variety of healthcare settings. The course includes a combination of lectures, skill labs, and clinical experiences to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to pass the state certification test. This course is a prerequisite to the nursing program (LPN) at Snow College. Course fee required.
