EPHRAIM - Snow College has received about $500,000 in private donations for scholarship funds in the past few months.
The Intermountain Power Agency donated $80,000 for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) scholarships at Snow.
The largest donation, however, came from the Horne Family from Arizona. The Horne’s, who have deep roots at Snow, presented a check for more than $400,000 for Snow College’s general scholarship funds
“We’re really fortunate to have someone like the Horne family that has roots here at the college and a love and understanding of what this institution can do for students,” said Brach Schlueter, Dean of Enrollment Services at Snow. “Scholarships have always been important but they are becoming increasingly important as the cost of going to college goes up.”
