Prioritization:
1) Salaries that are below 10% of market median
2) Salaries that are below 25% of market median
3) Salaries that show clear evidence of compression and fall below 50% of market median
4) Salaries that are below 40% of market median
5) Salaries that show clear evidence of compression and fall above 50 % of market median
6) Salaries that are below 50% of market median
7) Salaries that are below 60% of market median
Where applicable, difficult to retain positions, mission critical positions, and legislative mandates may be taken into account.
There was some discussion of what criteria would be used to classify a position as difficult to retain and mission critical.
We will begin with priority 1 unless we have a legislative mandate to begin elsewhere.
The numbers are speculative until we have actual data from the market median group.
Next, we will tackle a document outlining new hire compensation strategies.

The question was asked about editing in PayScale.
Did a demonstration on a couple of Michelle’s people.
There’s a lot of cleaning up to do because right now all professors are showing up as Music professors. Michelle will talk to Wayne about that.
Discrepancies were discussed in Salary amounts for the people being worked on in the system. It was pointed out that years of experience and education as well as outlined duties will vary.
Malynda said she doesn’t feel qualified or a SME on determining peoples job duties and descriptions. Michelle said that we are just making recommendations.
