Wayne- We got off topic last week. We had frustration regarding faculty vs. staff employees. We need to foster a safe environment. We need to keep focus on the original task and that is: Identifying employees who are below the 50% mark and how do we bring them up to that mark.
David had the task of the philosophy and has placed it out on the share drive.

Wayne- Snow College now and in the future
Everyone agreed on the philosophy read by Dave.
Wayne- Let’s move to the policy areas we only have 12 meeting before the proposed date set forth by president.
Sub-committees to be formed:
1. Data- which will entail identifying the one below the 50% mark (this will require training on PayScale
2. Policy and Procedure
3. Contact Wayne to let him know what expertise you have to which committee you prefer
We will all meet together once a month on the last Thursday of every month. February will be at Ephraim and March in Richfield then in April back to Ephraim. Craig suggested we have someone in charge of transport details. Teri will coordinate the one for transporting to Ephraim and Leslee for the transport to Richfield. It was proposed that since Richfield is a smaller group they would just come here every time, but Craig suggested that everyone check their schedules and that we could look into it as the time gets closer.
Michelle asked if the outline of requirements for each committee.
Wayne said he would put the training for PayScale together and also the requirements for Policy structures.
Jim outlined that the structure is how you rank and pay, tiers, median, inflation a factor. How will the structure work?
Wayne- 25% incoming so room to grow
Ted- Some will freeze at a certain level
Jim- Structure helps to explain why the pay is higher or lower
Fernando- Are we including part-time employees?
Wayne- Just full time
Malynda- are you distributing compensation and pay equally?
Wayne- they are the same and only salaried employees who are below the 50%
Craig- something to consider is a redistribution of benefits money all comes from the same bucket
Ted- Not really an option right now but something to consider
