Description:

Develop and maintain the software systems for the Snow College Financial Aid Office and Scholarship Office.

Qualifications:
Education and Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, or the completion of a Bachelor's degree is CIS by 12/31/2017, or closely related field.
  • One or more year's experience in a computer or technical related field. 
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of system design, software programming, and software debugging techniques.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language e.g. PHP, C++, Java, SQL, etc.
  • Working knowledge of databases, preferably ORACLE.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding Financial Aid at institutions of higher education, including grants and loans.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows.
  • Working knowledge of Web development/HTML.
  • Ability to solve computer software, and system problems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and abilities to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new computer languages, applications, and stay current with new technological developments.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Maintain Financial Aid and Scholarship software and procedures including testing & problem resolution, and training.
  • Develop and maintain SQL, PL-SQL, & Argos Reports, procedures & scripts to extract data & generate reports.
  • Develop & maintain BANNER web self-service for the Financial Aid office.
  • Update and maintain Financial Aid and Veteran's Affairs web page.
  • Help maintain & update Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) systems & software, including EDConnect software.
  • Coordinate Banner Financial Aid patches, updates, & upgrades.
  • Develop & maintain interfaces from Banner to external applications.
  • Learn and keep current on federal and state Financial Aid regulations and procedures.
  • Attend training as needed, some travel will be required.
  • Other Duties as assigned 
Salary: 

$50,000 - $60,000 depending on qualifications. Excellent benefits package.
