Description:
Develop and maintain the software systems for the Snow College Financial Aid Office
and Scholarship Office.
Qualifications:
Education and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, or the completion of a Bachelor's
degree is CIS by 12/31/2017, or closely related field.
- One or more year's experience in a computer or technical related field.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of system design, software programming, and software debugging techniques.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language e.g. PHP, C++, Java, SQL, etc.
- Working knowledge of databases, preferably ORACLE.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding Financial Aid at institutions
of higher education, including grants and loans.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows.
- Working knowledge of Web development/HTML.
- Ability to solve computer software, and system problems.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and abilities to work with diverse groups of people.
- Ability and willingness to learn new computer languages, applications, and stay current
with new technological developments.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- Maintain Financial Aid and Scholarship software and procedures including testing &
problem resolution, and training.
- Develop and maintain SQL, PL-SQL, & Argos Reports, procedures & scripts to extract
data & generate reports.
- Develop & maintain BANNER web self-service for the Financial Aid office.
- Update and maintain Financial Aid and Veteran's Affairs web page.
- Help maintain & update Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) systems & software, including
EDConnect software.
- Coordinate Banner Financial Aid patches, updates, & upgrades.
- Develop & maintain interfaces from Banner to external applications.
- Learn and keep current on federal and state Financial Aid regulations and procedures.
- Attend training as needed, some travel will be required.
- Other Duties as assigned
Salary:
$50,000 - $60,000 depending on qualifications. Excellent benefits package.
