Description:

The Snow College Mathematics Department is seeking dynamic applicants for the position of Assistant Professor/Instructor of Mathematics. This is a tenure track position.

Qualifications:
  • Masters or higher degree in Mathematics or closely related mathematics field.
  • Successful teaching experience. Preference given to those with experience at the post-secondary level.
  • Ability to instruct students who come from variety of educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English - both orally and in written form.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the mission and goals of Snow College in the Utah System of Higher Education.
  • Preference will be given to those who instruct using research based high impact practices.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Teach an average of 15 credits per semester through a variety of delivery modes including face-to-face, online, and with interactive video conferencing.
  • Teach courses in developmental math, general education math (college algebra, statistics, and quantitative literacy) and possibly some calculus.
  • Maintain office hours, serve on campus committees, fulfill departmental duties, participate in curriculum development, professional development, student advisement, recruiting, etc.
  • Perform duties associated with evaluating student progress and assessing teaching effectiveness.

Salary: 

$47,000-$50,780 DOE
