Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited institution with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field or have one or more of the following current certifications; CPM, CPSM, CPPO, or CPPB. 
  • Preferred two years of directly related experience in procurement or contract management. 
  • Knowledge of the Banner System preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the State of Utah procurement code preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word/WordPerfect, Excel, and PowerPoint, with Access a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Detailed oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work well with a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors, college personnel, and other outside agencies.
  • Ability to drive state vehicles.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Daily reviewing of requisitions to ensure that they are in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Daily processing of purchase orders and of adding new vendors to the system.
  • Weekly reports, such as missing receiving, and open purchase orders, etc.
  • Preparing and reviewing of bid specifications, Request for Proposals (RFP's), Request for Information (RFI's) and other procurement processes.
  • Working with all purchasing related software applications.
  • Preparing, examining, and negotiating of contracts
  • Managing all of the phases of contracts
  • Helping to develop and maintain a contract management system
  • Knowledge, understanding, and interpreting the state and college procurement laws, codes, rules policies and procedures to ensure that actions are in accordance with these.
  • Recommending changes to policies and procedures.
  • Training departments to understand the laws, code, policies etc.
  • Help provide different procurement training's to college personnel.
  • Helping with purchasing card audits and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Snow College offers a generous benefits package including 12 paid holidays in addition to annual leave/vacation time.

Salary: 

$47,000-$50,000
