Description:
Snow College invites applications for a position of Adjunct Instructor of Theatre
Arts. This is a part-time position commencing August 2018.
Qualifications:
- B.F.A. degree required with emphasis in Acting and Directing. MFA and/or Ph.D degree
is a plus.
- College or university teaching experience is preferred.
- Candidates should have demonstrated skills and abilities in performance and acting.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- The successful candidate will teach courses in acting.
- Future opportunities could include teaching courses in theatre history, musical theatre,
survey of theatre, introduction to film, GE foundation courses, and other potential
courses depending on proficiency.
- Directing opportunities could also be considered.
- Candidates for the position should demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching
and a willingness to engage students in scholarship and creative work both in and
out of the classroom.
- A positive attitude is paramount.
Work Hours:
Courses taught Fall semester 2018 will be in Acting I, on MWF, between 11:00 am and
2:00 pm.
