Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of technical entertainment including sound, lights, and rigging.
- Basic understanding of logistics and safety laws as they relate to facilities, people
and space.
- Basic computer and communication skills.
- Skills in people management and scheduling.
- Ability to think critically with limitations and creatively solve problems under pressure
and in a short amount of time.
- Ability to patiently deal with upset patrons, event managers and others.
- Graduation from an accredited institution with an Associate’s Degree or a combination
of education and experience totaling 2-4 years.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- Recruit, train, schedule and supervise Technical Services and Operational Department
staff. Schedule the Sevier County inmate crew as needed for event related projects
and facility needs.
- Rig, operate and manage equipment, lighting and sound for events. Coordinate with
client the execution of audio / visual requirements for events. Coordinate operation
of equipment for events.
- Maintain accurate and accessible records, create work schedules, and track work through
completion
- Oversee the set-up, tear down, and repair of SVC sports and other event equipment
including but not limited to tables, chairs, basketball and sports courts, etc.
- As needed, coordinate technical and operational event needs between the Sevier Valley
Center and outside agencies ensuring that those needs are met in a timely and efficient
manner.
Salary:
$38,000-$42,000
