Website Front-end Programmer / Webmaster / Website Content Manager
This employee would work in the college's marketing office. The employee would have
multiple duties for website management; website programming; develop increased website
user interactivity and experience; integration with data management, data mining;
analytic reports and evaluation. Additionally, the employee would work with marketing
office student website employee.
The Snow College Office of Marketing & Communications is responsible for Snow College's
general marketing and advertising; supporting the Admissions office with recruiting
materials and media; creating publications, video, photography, social media for the
college and all internal departments, office and events.
Qualifications:
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Design or a related field is preferred, will evaluate
potential canidate with Associate’s Degree with two years similar work experience,
two to four years of work preferred.
- Working understanding of JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming
Skills, E-Commerce, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility, Web
User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services
(REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API’s, website CMS.
- Knowledge or experience with digital, online and new technologies.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, have excellent communication skills,
and work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
- Proficient with general computer software, MS office suite, and a knowledge of Adobe
Create Cloud/Suite programs is helpful.
- Strong organization skills; the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, strong attention
to detail and problem solving with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
and projects simultaneously and meet stated deadlines.
- Strong commitment and motivation to contribute to the success of Snow College.
- Accomplished in communicating using Standard English.
- Writing and speaking is expected using correct content, grammar, spelling and mechanics.
- Ability to work with college personnel and students.
- Maintain high professional standards for assigned tasks.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
The role is responsible for coding and modifying websites, design from layout to function
and according to required specifications. Strive to create visually and interactively
appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation in both desktop
and mobile functionality.
You should be able to write clean code to ensure our programs run properly and address
the college needs.
- Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, multiple
device display, general web functions and standards.
- Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products
and devices.
- Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages
such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP and API's.
- Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services is needed
to be successful in this position.
- Understanding of databases and integration with websites.
- Understanding of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and technologies.
- Test websites across browsers, operating systems and devices.
- Optimize loading speeds and capacity, Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g traffic,
conversions).
- Debug pages and fix broken links or images and troubleshoot problems.
- Update website content and review SEO.
- Work with college content providers and manage user accounts and web management tools.
- Manage the web content for the college website. Work with all departments and offices
to gather, add and update information and content to the website. Snow College uses
a Content Management System for webpage content editing, employee would have responsibility
to train and support other content editors.
- Develop website UI and UX and new interactivity for website users and potential students
in conjuction with marketing goals.
- Develop website programming and formatting for optimal viewing on all platforms, including
digital and mobile devices.
- Research how to best maximize the college website to present the important information
that potential students are wanting to view and implementing solutions to recruit
students to Snow College.
- Review analytics for website viewers and content, propose ideas and solutions to increase
website productivity.
- Work with the Admissions Office and CRM program, to integrate the CRM forms and content for
effectively utilization on the college website.
- Develop effectiveness and integration of social media with college website.
- And other needs as required.

D.O.E., with Benefits
Work Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
