Qualifications:
- Must have a 4-year degree with 2 years’ industry experience OR a 2-year degree with
6 years industry experience OR equivalent 6-10 years of industry experience preferably
with industry certifications
- Must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent technology and classroom management skills
- Must be dependable and trustworthy
- Must be able to follow directions
- Must be able to take lead on projects
- Must have computer skills in using Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
- Preference will be given to applicants with positive work experience
- Must submit to and be able to pass a criminal background check
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- This is a teaching position that will support course and lab instruction in four program
areas. The successful applicant will have exposure in several of these program areas
with specific experience in some.
• Teach Snow College courses in the following subject areas:
• Industrial Mechanics
o Electronics
o Hydraulics
o Pneumatics
Fabrication
• Metallurology
• Welding
o Cutting Systems
o SMAW Processes
o GMAW / FCAW Processes
o GTAW Processes
• Industrial Print Reading
• Safety
• Other industrial courses as assigned
• Ensure lab equipment is secure and operable for student instruction
• Maintain additional lab supplies as needed
• Assist with maintaining an orderly and clean environment in the lab to ensure safety
• Provide mentorship to students
• Perform recruiting for program
• Assist students with job placement
• Other duties as assigned
Additional Information:
This is a nine month position. Salary is based on educational background and experience
at hire. This is an exempt position with a complete benefits package.
Salary:
$42,000 - $46,000 DOE
Work Hours:
Full-time
