Description:
Snow College is seeking an enthusiastic leader with proven experience in creating
value and building successful enterprises to direct its new Entrepreneurship Center.
In partnership with stakeholders, the successful candidate will establish a strong
vision and foundation for the new center. Candidates should have a strong background
in problem solving, mentoring, managing steps in new venture creation, and building
relationships.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic about the opportunity to build a significant and impactful center at
Snow College
- Five or more years of experience in a leadership role in a business or organization
- Successful entrepreneur or intrapreneur
- Proven experience creating value and solving problems
- Experience mentoring and coaching colleagues or aspiring entrepreneurs
- Experience in developing and managing budgets
- Relate well to the Snow College student and campus population
- Relate well to community population and stakeholders
- Ability to bridge relationships among different disciplines and entities
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders from various backgrounds, including government
and academic institutions.
- Forward-thinking with a vision of the new economy
- Passionate about entrepreneurship, learning, and teaching
- Excellent ability to articulate through oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in assessment of ideas and establishing metrics for success
- Demonstrated experience in establishing strategic relationships to strengthen program
and service delivery
- Detail-oriented and results-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Experience successfully collaborating as a team with colleagues
- Preferred experience with grant writing success
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred master’s degree in a business-related field
for a potential teaching role in academic entrepreneurship courses
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- Network with local, state, national, and international individuals and organizations
to make connections for the program and its participants
- Work across all campus disciplines, providing hands-on opportunities for students
- Recruit mentors for the center
- Plan and execute events to promote entrepreneurship across campus and into Snow College’s
six-county service area of Central Utah
- Seek external funding to assist in program viability and student projects
- Establish criteria for position success and meet established goals
- Work closely with key entrepreneurship academic programs in Utah and beyond for articulation
and transfer relationships
- Possibly teach academic courses
- Attend and participate in statewide and nationwide entrepreneurial groups (Utah Consortium,
GCEC, NACCE, etc.)
- Be a positive and proactive advocate for Snow College’s mission
Additional Information:
- This position will serve both Ephraim and Richfield Campuses
- Moderate travel required
Salary:
$72,500-$74,612 DOE
Work Hours:
Full-time
