Description:
This is a graveyard custodial position. Hours are Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required, and one year of experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written form;
- Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions;
- Knowledge and skill in proper use of general cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment;
- Ability to work from heights and climb ladders;
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisor, fellow workers
and students;
- Ability to understand equipment being used and how to do minor repairs on machines
- Ability to supervise student workers;
- Ability to lift 50 pounds easily
- Ability to work if needed on emergency situations that may occur after regular working
hours
- Ability to prioritize jobs each night from most important to least important. In case
students do not show up.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
· Under general supervision, performs routine manual labor associated with
the daily cleanup of buildings
· Duties include, but are not limited to: dust mop, sweep, wet mop, vacuum,
dust, wax floors, clean rest rooms, remove trash, polish furniture, snow removal,
clean carpets, operate a buffer, set-up for special lectures or conferences
- Must learn and observe all safety regulations and policies
- Work from ladders to change light globes, wash walls and windows
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends if needed for events
- Must keep walks and grounds clean up to 20' around the perimeter of the assigned building
- Supervise student employees in 2 or more buildings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary:
$32,000
Work Hours:
Sunday – Thursday 10:00 pm – 6:00 am
