Description:

The Community Education Coordinator (CEC) oversees the Community Education (CE) program on both the Ephraim and Richfield campuses. CE is an important component in College outreach to the community in providing not-for-credit courses that are affordable and accessible to community members who are interested in sharpening job skills, learning a skill or craft, learning basics of a particular academic topic, participating in fitness classes and activities, and facilitating workshops.

Qualifications:
  • Must be organized, customer-service oriented, possess keen oral communication skills and possess an ability to work well with College offices;
  • Must be able to manage a simple budget;
  • An ability to handle cash transactions;
  • Must possess basic skills in emailing, social networking, and Microsoft word;
  • Requires supervision of two, part-time student workers;
  • Some College coursework preferred but not required;
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Schedules CE courses on the appropriate campuses;
  • Works with College Communications in advertising CE courses;
  • Maintains the CE website and facebook site;
  • Orients CE faculty in classroom use, setup, roll taking, and conducting course evaluations;
  • Seeks to build the CE program;
  • Works closely with the Office of Academic Affairs in managing the CE program;
  • Works closely with the business office in processing CE course fees and with payroll in ensuring that instructors are paid in a timely fashion
Additional Information:

Requires occasional travel between Ephraim and Richfield campuses;

Salary: 

$12.00 per hour

Work Hours:

This is a part-time job, 20 to 25 hours a week and some occasional evening hours;
