Description:
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient
operation of the Office of Admissions. This includes organizing and coordinating
office operations and procedures through a variety of tasks to ensure organizational
effectiveness and efficiency while providing excellent customer service to prospective
students, current students and/or parents. This position will also assist in the
processing of admission applications including but not limited to matching documentation,
responding to applicants, processing efficiently to meet deadlines and scanning confidential
documentation.
Qualifications:
Applicant should have:
- Associate degree required
- Snow College graduates strongly encouraged to apply
- Experience with Banner, scanning and a customer relations management program preferred
- General knowledge of office administration and college admissions procedures;
- Demonstrated experience in working well with prospective applicants, faculty and staff
while projecting a professional image and communicating effectively in person, on
the phone, and through electronic communication;
- Excellent organization, prioritization, self-motivation, and problem solving skills;
- Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation tools,
mail merge and data entry/management and willing to learn new software and technical
skills;
- Problem solving skills, an ability to multitask and seek solutions to everyday problems;
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating as part of a team to achieve institutional
goals;
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and general public on the
phone, electronically and in person;
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, phone calls and emails for the Office of Admissions
while providing excellent customer service;
- Scheduling and coordinating campus visits and off-campus events;
- Assist in the admission processing by matching documentation, processing data efficiently
while paying strict attention to details, and scanning confidential documentation;
- Coordinate general office duties including record keeping, filing, processing mail
and ordering supplies;
- Provide pre-campus tour information to prospective students and/or parents and occasionally
give campus tours and information sessions for group tours; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary:
$34,560
Work Hours:
Full-time; 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Some evening and/or weekends may be
required
