Qualifications:
- Associate degree Required, Bachelor degree preferred
- At least two years of professional or internship experience working with college aged
individuals in a student services or leadership development setting
- Enthusiasm for working with young adults in a coaching/teaching relationship
- Strong verbal & written communication skills and computer skills
- Experience working effectively with diverse types of individuals
- Ability to work productively with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to coach and mentor students to plan successful events and activities for
the Richfield students
- Ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate with various departments on
campus
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Typical schedule is 3 hours a day, four
days a week. There will be a few times a year that the schedule will include occasional
early morning, late evening, overnight or weekend activities, retreats and conferences.
(May, July and August retreats. Typically two to three days).
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- Support and implement the Student Life and Leadership program’s overall mission to
develop student leaders
- Support student leaders in creating events to help retain students by supporting Strategic
Enrollment Management goals.
- Advise, coach and model effective leadership skills
- Oversee and manage program budgets in compliance with college guidelines
- Collaborate with faculty, staff and student groups to help student leaders provide
a variety of meaningful events and activities that promote student development/involvement
- Collaborate with the planning group for new student orientation in August
- Manage the use of the Student Life Office and student lounge areas, including Busters
Pantry
- Communicate effectively with Director and Assistant Director of Student Life, campus
staff and faculty, the public, and students as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Additional Information:
This is a part-time position that does not include benefits.
Salary:
$13.00 to $15.00 per hour
Work Hours:
Typically 10 – 15 hours a week during school year
