Qualifications:
- High School diploma required, Associate degree preferred
- Must be a responsible and organized individual
- Must be able to communicate and work effectively with students, faculty, guest artist,
parents and other constituencies
- Must have marketing & social media skills
- Ability to write press releases and other promotional materials
- Given appropriate guidance, must be able to work independently to accomplish complex
tasks as well as work in a team environment
- Must be dependable/trustworthy
- Have good problem solving skills
- Must have computer skills
- Must be an effective supervisor of student employees
- Must have a valid Utah driver’s license.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- Market events & Social Media for Theatre, Music and Dance Dept.
- Work with department heads or faculty to discuss topics such as budgets and contracts,
marketing plans, and the selection of advertising media
- Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for activities including which media to
advertise in, such as radio, television, print, web pages, social media accounts and
LED marquees
- POC for the Office of Communications
- POC for faculty
- POC for all media and advertising outlets pertaining to Theatre, Music and Dance.
- Management of posters and advertising materials, oversee poster distribution and mass
mailing
- Keep Theatre, Dance and Music web pages fresh and up to date with current information
of the department
- Keep view books current
- Manage the email accounts for email blasts
- Create information on scholarships auditions, master classes and workshops. Send mass
mailings to high school in letters and email blast campaigns.
- Order material for swag supplies for recruiting purposes.
- Write and create the monthly newsletter
- Asst. Manager Eccles Center Box Office Operation
- Supervise Box Office student employees as well as Ushers
- Sell & process tickets & manage money (phone, internet, in person)
- Customer Service, Keep a friendly environment
- Assist the Box Office Manager
Salary:
$11-$12 per hour DOE
Work Hours:
Part-time; Evenings and weekends may be required
