Affordable tuition, an impressive student success rate, and growth in technical education reflect continued progress
EPHRAIM, Utah — October 21, 2026 — Snow College is reporting an 81% student success rate, a 2.5% increase in completion rates, and enrollment growth in several specific areas. Combined with affordable tuition, these results reflect the college’s commitment to providing an accessible, high-quality education and helping students achieve their goals.
According to 3rd Week Fall 2026 enrollment figures released by the Utah System of Higher Education, Snow College currently enrolls 5,284 students, a decrease of 277 students from the previous year. The decline was anticipated given changes in federal policy affecting international student enrollment and the recent adjustment to missionary service eligibility for female members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Both have influenced traditional enrollment patterns at Snow College. Related, the college experienced a record number of enrollment deferments requests from students who chose to postpone the start of their education or temporarily pause their studies, and there was a significant decrease in Snow’s female student enrollment.
Despite the overall decline, the college experienced a:
Additionally, the 2.5% increase in student completion also provides important context for enrollment figures, as more students are successfully finishing their education and moving on to the next chapter of their lives.
“Enrollment is important, and we remain focused on helping more students choose Snow College,” said Vice President Cody Branch. “Equally important is what happens after students enroll. Our goal is to provide an excellent education at an affordable price, create a positive and meaningful college experience, and prepare students for success beyond Snow. Our 81% student success rate and continued improvement in completion rates are encouraging indicators of that commitment.”
Like many institutions across the country, Snow College is navigating demographic changes, including a declining number of high school graduates and changing student enrollment patterns due to volunteer service or other life situations. According to projections from the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, Utah’s traditional college-age population is expected to peak in 2028 before declining approximately 18% over the following two decades. This shift reinforces the importance of Snow College’s focus on student retention, completion, and adapting to meet the needs of today's students.
“Snow College has always been about people and opportunity,” said President Stacee Y. McIff. “We want students to know there is a place for them at Snow, whether they're beginning college for the first time, returning to complete a degree, or developing new skills for the next chapter of their lives. I'm proud of our students and the dedicated faculty and staff who help them succeed. Our commitment is to give every student the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to reach their goals.”
