One minor injury reported; facility expected to reopen tomorrow
June 23, 2026 – Ephraim, UT – Snow College is responding to a small fire that occurred today in the Greenwood Student Center on the Ephraim campus.
The fire originated in an oven and was quickly contained. Ephraim Fire Department and Ephraim Police Department responded promptly to the scene. One employee sustained a minor burn. No other employees, students, or guests were injured.
As a precaution, the Greenwood Student Center remains closed while crews work to stabilize and restore the building’s fire suppression system. The process is expected to take several hours, and college officials anticipate the facility will reopen tomorrow.
College personnel are actively developing plans to ensure employees, students, and campus guests remain comfortable and well supported while the building is temporarily unavailable.
"We are grateful for the quick response of our local fire and police departments and thankful that no one was seriously injured," said Cody Branch, Vice President for Student Affairs at Snow College. "The safety of our students, employees, and guests is always our highest priority.
