Snow Experiences Another Record-Breaking Enrollment Year

Snow College’s student body continues to grow

October 25, 2021 – Ephraim, UT – Snow College is once again pleased to report record-breaking enrollment numbers with a total of 6,106 students. This marks an 5.28% increase in total students over last year. These numbers were verified and released today by the Utah System of Higher Education.

While enrollment was up in nearly every category, one student segment that saw a significant increase was new freshman. These are students who had their high school careers disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and were eager to find normalcy in Snow’s face-to-face classes. Another student population that continues to see significant growth is international students. The school’s Center for Global Engagement has seen a 274% increase in students over the last decade. Snow’s renewed focus on technical education also drew students who may have otherwise not sought out higher education.

Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management Teri Clawson said, “I am thrilled with how Snow College is reaching so many students who desire to have a high-quality education at an affordable cost. Snow College is the best in the state, with an award to prove it, at educating and preparing them for a career and/or further education.”

Snow’s success is attracting attention. The school was recognized by Best of State, winning the top prize in the education category in addition to winning the categories of best professor, advisor, administrator, and curriculum development. Snow was also recognized for the eighth consecutive year as an Aspen Prize Top 10 School, ranked #1 by the Chronicle of Higher Education, placed as a top 5% Best College by Niche, and was ranked #2 in the nation by RateMyProfessor. Snow College is committed to providing students with a high-quality education and is pleased to be recognized for its efforts.

Detailed data, including a student profile, is published on the college’s institutional research website.
