Ephraim, UT – mtvU’s RateMyProfessors.com is the largest online destination for college ratings and just released their annual listing, ranking Snow College #14 from over 1,200 junior and community colleges. The rankings are based on student surveys of the nation’s top professors and universities.
RateMyProfessors.com determines college rankings by consolidating both professor ratings and campus evaluations. Different from typical college rankings, this list is generated entirely from the input of the students themselves – providing an authentic overview of the quality of instruction at each respective school.
“The quality of our professors and the education our students receive is our top priority,” said Vice President of Academic Affairs Steve Hood, “we are pleased the students are giving such positive feedback for both our faculty and their Snow College experience.”
School rankings are based partially on overall professor average rating, as well as overall school rating which is an average of its campus ratings. Professor and campus ratings are weighed equally, implying that a top school scores high both in terms of academics and campus life. In order to provide a statistical significance, only schools with at least 30 rated professors and 30 campus ratings qualify. Using the resulting scores, schools are ranked from high to low.
RateMyProfessors.com is built for college students, by college students. It is the highest-trafficked U.S. college professor rating website, receiving millions of visitors a month. Owned and operated by MTV’s college network, mtvU, featuring more than 8,000 schools, 1.8 million professors and 15 million ratings.
