Ephraim, UT -- Snow College today reported an incident in the Hans Reed Science Building on its Ephraim campus. During a student experiment in a regularly scheduled chemistry lab, a small fire ignited. Hazmat teams arrived on the scene, took precautionary measures, and have cleared the building for re-entry. The lab involved in the incident will remain closed for further inspection.
Student safety is of most importance at Snow College. Everyone involved in the class has been contacted and evaluated, and their vitals are all within normal levels. President Carlston said, “We are grateful to report that no one was injured in this incident. Faculty and staff worked diligently to contact each student. This, once again, demonstrates the care our employees have; there truly is a unique spirit at Snow College. We also express our sincere appreciation to the emergency management service responders who demonstrated concern and professionalism in their work.”
