Reciprocal Borrowing

Affiliation with Snow College has an extra perk!  The Snow College Library belongs to an organization called UALC or Utah Academic Library Consortium. UALC members work together to enhance resources provided to Utah’s higher education communities. Reciprocal Borrowing is a service provided through the Consortium that allows all students, staff, emeriti and faculty to check out materials from another academic institution in the State of Utah. This means that an employee can take their Snow College card to any of the participating UALC schools and check out items from that school.

For example, if a faculty member found materials at UVU and was traveling to Orem that weekend, they could stop at the library in Orem and pick-up the items. When they are due, you can bring them back to our library, and we’ll ship them back for you. This saves a trip back to Orem unless you were already going there. Snow College employees should be respectful of the other schools’ checkout policies, due dates and treat the materials with care. This will allow the service to continue to be enjoyed for years to come!

Participating libraries include Utah State University, Weber State University, Utah Valley University, BYU, University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, Westminster College, Snow College, Southern Utah University and Dixie State University.
