About

I was born and raised in Southwest Montana where I learned to enjoy the beauties of the mountains. After graduating from High School, I came to Utah to attend school. I earned B.S. degrees in Meteorology and Mathematics from the University of Utah, and later a Ph.D. in Upper-Atmospheric Physics (Space Weather) from Utah State University. I then taught physics and meteorology in Daytona Beach, FL, until I returned to Utah and the mountains to teach at Snow College in 2021.

In addition to teaching Meteorology, I also teach the Data Science classes for the Mathematics Department.

I now live locally in Manti with my wife and six children. We love spending time together as a family. We love exploring the mountains and the sites that are nearby, and we love sitting together and playing card games and board games together. We also love music, as many of us play instruments. Among the many instruments I have learned, I especially love to play the cello and the organ.
