For my MS at Ohio State University I focused on isotope geochemistry of igneous rocks. Since arriving at Snow College in 1986, I have taught a wide variety of courses including Survey of Geology (for non-majors), Physical and Historical Geology (for geology majors and engineers), Oceanography, Environmental Geology, Honors Geology, Foundations courses on Natural Disasters, the Anthropocene and Water.
I am chair of the Geology Department and the GIS program. I conduct ongoing undergraduate research projects on groundwater quality in the San Pitch Watershed. In addition to teaching at Snow, I love doing educational outreach for our local community. In my off time I love to explore geology while I mountain bike, hike and jeep.
