Student Success Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education allows a student to earn college credit for working, mentoring, or job shadowing as long as the student’s experience follows an educational track. The student is assigned to a faculty member whose field of expertise is in the chosen educational track. The student receives a letter grade, and it will go toward his or her GPA. The student must have arranged for the co-op experience before registering for the class. The Cooperative Education Office will determine if the experience qualifies for credit. The student must set goals or objectives to accomplish on the job. The student meets with the assigned faculty coordinator to approve and finalize the goals. The number of goals depends on the number of credits.

Three credits - 4 goals
Two credits - 3 goals
One credit - 2 goals
