Description: ENGR 2165 is a laboratory course to accompany ENGR 2160. This lab will emphasize experiments related to materials processes and properties common to the Mechanical Engineering profession. Students will learn how to follow a test procedure along with techniques of measurement, data analysis and report writing. They will use observation and mathematical principles to summarize and communicate experimental results. Laboratory experiments will provide hands-on opportunities to deepen knowledge and understanding of the principles of material science that are taught in the companion course ENGR 2160. (Lab fee required.)
