Lifeguard CertificationCourse Name: Lifeguard Certification
This class will prepare and train students to become certified lifeguards. All skills required to be a lifeguard will be taught including: rescues, first aid, CPR, scanning skills, and many more. Upon successful completion students receive a certification good for two years.
NOTE: No payment due until student passes pre-screen test. Prior to paying fee students must come to first night of class prepared to pass all of the following pre-screen tests: a) swim 300 yards continuously without stopping, b) retrieve 10lb brick from a depth of 9ft and c) tread water for two minutes without use of hands. Students who do not pass all of the pre-screen tests may not continue course but are invited to try again at the next scheduled lifeguard certification course. For convenience payments are accepted at the Horne Activity Center.
